Here's a question someone asked: Is Steve Nash the best player?
Kobe fan 1: No, if he is, he would have won a ring by now! Kobe is the best!
My response: Ok, so what has Kobe done without Shaq? Not winning!
Kobe fan 2: Steve Nash got great teammates. What does Kobe have?
My response: If you call a 29-53 team a great team... Heck, even the Lakers worst in this decade is 34! Who's the better team?
Kobe fan 3: Kobe is the greatest player ever in the history of the NBA! If Steve Nash is so good, he should have been in the Finals!
My response: Err.. I'll let you decide on how ignorant that comment is.
_____________
How are any of these replies legit in any way saying Kobe is better than Steve Nash? I don't get it.
Don't get me wrong, I think Kobe is a great player, but come on! You can be a fan without that ignorance! I think Kobe still got a long way to go to get past Magic in the Lakers great scale. Best ever??? What??? Kobe still hasn't gotten past James Worthy yet!

Hoopfan, first of all, it's not Jordan without Pippen. It's Jordan without Phil Jackson.
And second, I own personal opinion is that Magic is the greatest. So your attack on me doesn't work. However, I do believe Jordan is the best because Bill Russell, Red Auerbach, Larry Bird, Magic, Kareem, all the all time greats who are alive voted unanimously that Jordan is the greatest of all time. Who am I to go against them?
I don't know how's your creditability matches up against theirs. But I seriously doubt that you know what you're talking about.

Prashant, you're more sad in attacking a player who has already retired and voted unanimously in 1997 by players such as Bill Russell, Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, Kareem Abdul Jabbar and coaches such as Red Auerbach as the greatest player of all time. How's your credibility stack up against theirs?

Note: This is not a question of whether Steve Nash is the best or not. I don't think he is. I'm only using this question as an example. Why are Kobe fans using ridiculous answers that also applies to Kobe and say Kobe is the best?!?

I have to say that some people do have "Selective Amnesia" haven't they?
Take for example one of the answerers above, remember that Kobe had far more better teammates than 'His Airness'.
In their early years within the seven years at least, LA had enough ingredients that would make a championship squad, should I give you a run down? (Shaq, Glen Rice, Eddie Jones, Van Exel, Horace Grant, Ron Harper, Derek Fisher, Devean George and Robert Horry heck even Dennis Rodman suited up for this team for a brief time).
I don't see why they won't be in the Finals with those teammates, especially with a Shaq, who was at the prime and is the single MOST dominant player to play the game.
One more thing is that Phil Jackson surrounded this team with his championship players (Grant and Harper), veterans that he knows could deliver in the finals.
See how biased some people are leaving some important details and select the things that would boost their favorite player's image. Completely forgetting the championship Lakers where a lot of great players roam in LA land.
I do hope this helps.

Most Lakers fans are bias. I am a Lakers fan, but know the stats of mostly all the players of the Lakers. People are ignorant on Kobe because they follow a crowd that admires Kobe. The only way that most people are accepted in sports is to have a player above the rest. People think that Kobe is good because the Lakers are feom LA. This means that most people are lazy and don't watch sports from the East Coast. Personally, I think that Kobe is better player than Steve Nash on scoring, but Nash is better at assists. If you are a Lakers fan, please don't be so ignorant in praising or lfting up Kobe. Learn the facts, and most IMPORTANT be a real fan. A fan that sticks to the Lakers when they win and when they lose. Defend them at all cost and don't let other team fans put you down for what you believe.

Kobe probably has some of the most biased fans ive seen...but then ive also seen a lot of kobe haters, wade haters, lebron haters..
i think people's passion for the game sorta pushes common sense or respect to the side..they are willing to ignore everything to support the team/player they adore...
i believe you have to give credit where credit is due..kobe, lebron, wade..they are all phenomenal talents..speed, athleticism, strength...truly phenomenal..
as for the steve nash question..at the moment steve nash is the better player..sure kobe might be better than nash 1 on 1..but this is a team game and nash makes his teammates look so good..nash had been chosen as the MVP 2 years in a row..he was chosen by experts and analysts..people who know the game of basketball inside and out..not ordinary fans who sit infront of the tele half drunk and decide who the best player is..

Your statements spot on. From the responses you get in this website online you'll be able to inform that ninety% of humans do not move to observe their so referred to as liked workforce in movement. They purchase a blouse, watch the footy on television tube after which feel they're a fan. It's like being attentive to youngsters in a playground arguing over who is bought the toughest dad now and then. They have got to get themselves all the way down to the terraces (albeit seated) and discover out what contention is all approximately and with a bit of luck they're going to turn out to be precise enthusiasts and be competent to speak about footballing issues as an alternative of all this tit for tat bullshit.

Give it a break yo...its the offseason

Again are you listening to yourself?
They said that in 1997 before Kobe even broke out.
I attack MJ night in and night out with questions and answers about his marriage, his relationship with his teammates, his performance in the playoffs etc ? (ITS YOU WHO DOES THAT TO KOBE NOT ME TO MJ...why don't you post a question and see what the users say about us to get a non biased opinion)...when was the last time I posted a question or posted an answer attacking MJ like a bulldog which you do EVERY SINGLE DAY TO KOBE?
you just posted a question two days ago about Mark Jackson calling Kobe the greatest of all time and going on some rant
hey at least I give the credit where its due instead of running around answers looking like you're on crack saying "Lamar Odom is the best player on the lakers squad" puahaha come on...who's ignorant now?

The whole Kobe-Nash comparison could be answered this simple:
KOBE - best individual player. Hands down.
NASH - best TEAM player.
Keywords: Individual and Team.
Since the NBA game is played with 5 players on the floor, and not through one-on-one games, it is pretty obvious that Nash is the better NBA player. Unless David Stern weirdly turns his NBDL into a one-on-one league with Kobe the first NBA player to transfer, i'll stick with my simple argument.

we are all somewhat ignorant when it comes to our fav teams or players. That's why when Bowen knees Nash spurs fans go NO FOUL.And when Nash gets away with one ,suns fans go serves him right. the same goes for Kobe fans ,they are no different than any other loyal fan.

Michael Jordan fans are usually the most ignorant , as demonstrated on this site almost everyday.
O.K....so what has Jordan done without Pippen? Definitely NOT WINNING! And Jordan had better teammates than Kobe did ( Woolridge, Oakley, Gervin, Dailey, Paxson).
And it took Jordan 7 years to get to the finals, so it ain't like he completely turned his team into champions overnight.
But Jordan fanatics refuse to acknowledge this. All they do is come up with excuses. They too, don't understand that "you can be a fan without ignorance".
Jordan - Pippen = Bald-headed Dominique Wilkins....too easy!!!
____________________
"DMAN"...that was not an attack on you. I was simply stating that Jordan fanatics always try to justify Jordan's failures, by putting the balme on someone else.
But when it comes to other players, like Kobe, they don't get the same slack as Michael Jordan did. With him, there's always a double standard.
Secondly, what "vote" are you talking about? Larry Bird has ALWAYS stated that Magic was the best he's ever seen, and Magic has said the same about Bird. If you're talking about that"God disguised as" quote- that was regarding ONE GAME!!
And I can make a case for a few players who were better than Jordan was, unlike most Jordan fans on here. They just think he is because that's what they heard on ESPN.
"Darth Vader"....I was comparing Jordan's pre-Pippen team to Kobe's post Shaq team.....nice try though.

Kobe fans are idiots when it come to basketball.
No point in trying to talk sense into them.
I'd just let them stay ignorant and lose with kobe.
