No special date. Just when I get around to getting a mini tree at Trader Joes to put on the coffee table. It's really not even a tree, but a decorated bush! lol.

When I was a child, my parents put our tree up after we kids had gone to bed on Christmas Eve. That added to Christmas I think and fits in with the teachings of my church in that Advent is a period of preparation, not a holiday season. Couldn't get my wife on board with me though. As I am disabled, I do not put up a tree -- just a few small decorations and I wait until Christmas.

December 24th, down on the 26th. Not my tree, my mum's. See, Christmas isn't two months long. It's one day. Maybe a day and a half, but it's not a whole MONTH.
Commercial Industries Day. Live it up.

I usually put it up around the first day of The kids vacation. Then we leave it up until after Epiphany - around the middle of January. I don't want to get tired of it before Christmas even gets here!
