Right click on MY Computer, choose properties, hardware, device manager.

Devices with no drivers will be flagged.

The good thing is that Windows XP has many drivers already built in. But I would highly reccomend downloading the following on any new Windows install.

1. Java
2. Quicktime
3. Windows Updates
4. Direct X
5. Adobe Acrobat Reader

There might be a few more but these are probably the main items. Good Luck

well the drivers you get on a as needed basis. if you have any cd or dvd drives you need to find out the manufacture and go to their site and get the drivers if you have cd or dvd and it isnt working then you need the drivers. peripheals like printers, scanners, cams etc. usually come with software inc drivers. what else you need depends on you. i need alot of software myself like photoshop and the likes. it depends on what you like to do. windows has the basic stuff you need. good luck to you

You'll need to open the side panel, and find out what motherboard it contains, then google it. Or, you can search the manufacturer's website, using the PC's model # as a reference.
