Kilograms are mass and meters are length, so you can't convert these. It's just like the way you can't convert pounds to feet.

Kilometers can be changed to meters.
1 km = 1000 m

So if you had 2.5 km, you can set up a proportion.
1 km/1000m = 2.5 km/ x m and solve the proportion.

Or you can move the decimal point three places to the right.
2.5 km = 2500 m because kilo means 1000.

No...kilograms measure mass and meters measure distance You are dealing with two separate things there. It would be like trying to convert pounds into yards. It doesn't make sense.

If you meant converting kilometers into meters, that is different. A kilometer is simply 1000 meters (kilo=1000) so if you divide km/1000 you would get meters.

Kilograms is a weight measure and meters are a distance measure. I don't believe you can convert between the two.

You may want to put the problem in writing on here though.

You convert kilograms to meters the same way you convert pounds to inches. You don't.

(yawn)

A kilogram is a unit measure for weight.

A meter is a unit measure for distance.

There is no conversion factor to convert a distance into a weight. They are two totally different things.

maybe you misread the question. maybe itz something like pulling a kilogram a distance of one meter or something of that sort.
kilogram deals with weight, meters with distance
this is like changing pounds to inches, it cannot be done

No, because grams are a measurement of mass, and meters are a measurement of length. That would be like converting inches to pounds.

now, if it's kiloMETERS, yes you can convert
