Does having a domain name like angrytshirts.com help place you higher in search engines for the keyword "angry t-shirts".

Also would angryt-shirts.com be better for trying to get ranked high for "angry t-shirts".

solid names rank higher than hyphenated ones.

It depends on whether you are selling t-shirts or car parts! If you are selling t-shirts then the name will help you. If your selling car parts then forget it!

Having a relevant keyword in your domain name does seem to help with search engine rankings and indexing. Back it up with a lot of original content and a properly developed website and you should do well.

Good Luck,

The domain name has nothing to do with the ranking...you can get ranking by having lots of good content on your site...as well as sending your site to various search engines...and the list goes on, but that is a great start...you can also link to other sites in a link exchange...
good luck...
