So why does everyone on yahoo answers go on and on about how sex is for married people only? I mean, if marriage is about LOVE and not just sex, what does it matter if one enjoys the pleasures before they tie the knot for the rest of their life? Shouldn't the man, woman, love their spouse for who thay are, and not for the cherry or virginal pieces?

It's more correct to say that marriage isn't ONLY about sex.

If sex is Good it's 10% of a marriage, but if it's bad it's 90%.

Of course you should love the person for who they are. It is the safest course certainly to wait until marriage for sex especially in the realm of disease and unwanted pregnancy. I don't think however anyone should be verbally beaten up if they didn't wait however. Most people, even most CHRISTIANS according to a great number of surveys don't wait, but again it simplifies a great number of issues. In particular; It's a lot easier to dump a loser you haven't had sex with.

I waited until marriage and I have never regretted it. I am a Christian and it is my belief that sex before marriage isn't right. That being said...I know many people do (including Christians) and I do not condemn people for it. I just know what I believe and chose to do.

I believe that you can have sex with your partner if you feel that you are truly ready for that kind of step in your relationship and you are ready for the consequences that can ensue if something were to happen. However, I do not support having sex with everybody and their brother (or sister) because that's just sheer ridiculous.

Bottom line is: If you love your partner enough to step your relationship up to a sexually physical one, be ready, wear a condom, and be ready if it breaks.

I dont get the marriage thing to begin with. We as a society seem to think its all that great. To some its bliss. To others its a prison.

So no, sex and marriage, though they are mutually beneficial, are not mutually dependent.

Go have sex with or without, or in addition to.

You got it twisted, just don't have sex before marriage.
If marriage wasn't about s'x then no one was going to be married. Just get married and have something special with only one person, rather than disrespecting your self with multi people.

Good question. I truly believe you should have had some experience so you can be pretty sure you are not with the first person who walks into your life. For me, I find that limiting.

Sex isn't just for married people - that's pretty obvious. But sex is an expression of love. Your body is your ultimate gift to offer to someone. I wouldn't offer mine to just anybody.
