My computer is infected with "Security Toolbar 7.1", and it is showing different symptoms:
1. Computer prompts me that my system is infected with different viruses like trojan-spy.win32@mx; and to download different antispam softwares.
2. I am having full updates of norton antivirus... but it is unable to detect this problem
3. I can not restore my computer in back date also...
4. There is no infrmation about this toolbar even in "add or remove programme" in control panel menu..

for information, i am having original windows XP home edition and a licenced copy of norton antivirus.
i dont want to spent any more to remove this "Security toolbar 7.1"
Can anybody help me by telling the method to remove this spyware from my computer without spending money?

I have also tried with different free antyspam software like spyware doctor, HJTINSTALL.exe...but couldn't find effective solution.
Please specify me any manual removal tool..with effective links...if any.

1.Download and install the free version of Super anti-spyware from
http://superantispyware.com/
Update it and then run a full system scan.

2.DON'T download unknown software like the HJTINSTALL thing, they can seriously damage your computer. Here are some safe sites to download free software:

3.If Super anti-spyware doesn't detect anything, run the online Panda ActiveScan. It scans your computer and removes most infections for free.

Security Toolbar 7.1 is dangerous toolbar and comes from very dangerous trojan zlob. It hijack your homepage and
displays fake warning message to download the another fake spyware applications... If your computer is infected with
Security Toolbar 7.1 hijacker then its very dangerous for your computer.

Security Toolbar 7.1 Symptoms:-

User's homepage is changed to asecurityupdate.com or to other unfamiliar websites. Warning messages such as "Virus
Alert", "Your Computer is Infected", "Security Alert" Trojan-Spy.win32@mx or Spyware.Cyberlog-X infections are
displayed.

Hi,
You should use "Spybot".It's very effective.I don't have anymore problem with spyware,pop-up or Trojan.I came across this software in PC World Magazine.You can download for FREE.Check it out here:
