heres a few steps you should follow:

a) kick ur sisters @ss like theres no tomorrow
b) look online for some data recovery programs, they cost like....$20.00 for each type of recovery you need. (ie. memory card recovery, hard drive recovery etc)
c) if that doesn't work take it into a computer shop and they should have all the equipment necessary to pull off you old files.
d) lol, make sure they arnt in the recycling bin, that would be an easy fix!
e) for future reference: transfer anything important to an external hardrive. they are very cheap.

That does suck. I have backed up all my files from 2004 up to 2005 but I have not done so recently.

Not really.

My comp's like 860gb. Too much.

I do have some files on various DVDs and on other comps in the house. But it would suck.
