Because alot of people like black alot more then white.

Also to make it a status symbol. They're trying to imply that those people with Black Macbooks obviously have a bit more money to throw around then most.

Because Apple likes to rip people off. They sell computers like they're beanie babies or something. :P

Probably because people will pay that much more for it. I think Apple has proven that price has nothing to do with value very recently.

because the white ones are terrible. they stain on the keyboard. get a macbook pro
