NO! In todays technology we are using two types of graphic card slot, one is AGP type and the other one is the PCIE type.

graphics are compatible with any cpu. but you should look at the slots on the motherboard for graphics card compatibility.

I would have to say do not get anything ATI makes because their drivers suck and every ATI graphics I have ever owned seems to run slower when i update the drivers. You can find good prices on tigerdirect.com or newegg.com .
