I know you can just go ahead and delete the code with the scan tool, but that doesn't really fix my problem. Can someone please help?

PO507---idle control system RPM higher than expected. Your project is to figure out why your engine is idling too fast. Idle air control (iac)? Throttle position sensor ? Your computer reads the air being supplied to the engine and ajusts the fuel flow for that much air. so somewhere you are probably getting too much air. The throttle body, which could be suspect, has a valve, that is the throttle, that regulates the air. Could be it is stuck a bit open and the throttle body needs cleaning. When you step on the throttle you are giving the engine more air not more fuel. Think about it and fix your problem. I gave you some ideas but can't solve it from here.
