i know there's a way to make your own ringtones for free ive had a couple of them but they're not working anymore for my phone... i used bitpim and tonethis. i have a verizon LG chocolate

You can make your own ring tones for free using iTunes, and then can upload them to your phone using a USB data cable, a Bluetooth connection, or by emailing them to your phone as an attachment.

use your phones voice record or voice memo to record the song of your choice, then save it and send it to a friend via text picture or sms ect ect then have them send it back save it in your media player and you should then be able to use it as a ring tone. i do it all the time i have never paid for a single one
