Yes

Sitting in a theater, and watching a live performance can give you so many things that watching TV and movies can not. Sitting and watching performers live gives a much more personal feel. You also get to see it un edited. The directors don't get to go through and cut out what they don't want you to see. Anything can happen on stage!

Yeah, I've been to several: Pirates of Penzance, Sunday in the Park with George, Rent, Little Shop of Horrors, Much Ado About Nothing, and a really good high school production of Romeo and Juliet.

Yeah a few years back, it was a one women show. Base on a British house wife, and i was the only British person in the audience that got the plot and understood the lingo and witty humor. So i was laughing and cracking up, while the rest just sat there. The rest of the audience were Americans.

Yes, I went to see Cloudstreet in Sydney - it was fantastic. A well produced play is a good thing. Don't get put off by small-town theatre companies who think they are good but really aren't. Read the reviews in the paper and you'll find some good things.

Yes, it's really fun to watch plays.
When we saw Hansel & Gretel, at one point the Wicked Witch came running from the back row (where I was sitting), down the aisle toward the stage, screaming...OMG I nearly wet m' pants.
