Raw did not suck..

I'd give Raw a 7.5 ... Some parts of Raw were better than others and Raw was noticeably better than the Monday night shows from the past two to three weeks that weren't even worthy of being watched. This isn't a 10 but it's a step in the right direction.

The opening of Raw saw the return of Umaga as McMahon called him down to destroy three jobbers, who were suppose to be champions in Sumo, etc ... Umaga easlily destroyed them but the Umaga return seemed a bit weak to me in this one.

The first match of the night pit Jeff Hardy & Kendrick/London against Shelton Benjamin & Cade/Murdoch ... Kendrick/London impressed me this week (I'm a Cade/Mudroch fan). The highlight of the match was an impressive running shooting star press (on the outside of the ring onto Benjamin (I think). This was the first and best match on Raw.

Bob Holly d. Cody Rhodes again, setting up a future program for them to eventually team after their program has run its course.

Beth Phoenix cut a decent promo and was going to crush the throat of Lilian before Candice made the save. This was a decent segment that forwarded the feud.

Triple H/Vince/Carlito as a special guest ref. Ok match with a confusing ending, Carlito clothesling Triple H outside before Umaga could do any more damage to him. Then Trips grabbed the Sledgehammer. This was a decent buildup for the Triple H/Umaga feud but we all wonder why Carlito "saved" Triple H?

Santino Marella at the Movies Segment, Val Venis interrupts and does a decent job on the mic. This led to Santino working on the leg of Venis even though this wasn't a match. I am begging to like Santino Marella at the Movies segments.

Cena and Todd Grisham cut a promo backstage, where Cena took a page out of the Rocks' book and even insults Grisham by saying he has naked pictures of Umaga posted all over his bedroom. While the promo was too close to a Rock Promo, it was entertaining.

Micki James/Melina match was pointless this week. Hornswaggle took her clothes after she crawled under the ring and he followed. It was a little entertaining but I wouldn't put it on any highlight reel.

The Cena/Kennedy match was ok. I was disappointed Cena got a clear win over Kennedy. Orton comes out and attacks Cena. Cena was owned by the Legend Killer in this one.

There were various segments throughout the night, I'm just pointing to a few that stood out on Raw.

Honorable Mention From Raw:
The Highlanders actually got promo time backstage with GM William Regal. While their promo wasn't anything you'd archive for future generations to study, they did step it up a notch, though Rory as the talker seemed lost once or twice on things to say, it just so happened the words that flew out were decent. If the Highlanders keep this up, I'll have to take their name off the list of worst tag-teams ever, they are tied for last place with the BuschWhackers right now in my book.

It was DAMN good. They built up Holly's feud with Cody. Put Kendrick and London over by teaming them up with Jeff, and with Cade and Murd on the other end, they threw in Shelton, which makes way for a great feud between Shelton and Jeff. Next they put in Val Venis for a feud with Santino which I believe is AWESOME **** and great use of Val, afterwards, they put Ron Simmons for some DAMNING and physical action. Watching Cena get beat up is always good, and the Triple H beatdown was awesome too, and nice to see Vince back in action along with Kennedy and Umaga. Oh and also Regal. Great show, 9/10

It sucked !!! Although it was better than last weeks which isnt saying much. Vince vs Triple H could have been booked lots better than it was. Was good to see Kennedy and Umaga back. The six man match was the best part of the show.

It was so-so. But as usual, the Cena match was horrible. But watching Orton beat the crap out of him after the match was good.

It was OK.

The best thing was we got to see a main even with two actual wrestlers this week.

It was a typical RAW. Some of it was good, and some of it was bad.
