is the plant cocle bur native to the united staes or not if it is where is it from if it isnt it would be great to still know where it is from!!!!what are some problems of the plant?what are some uses of the plant????thanks so much in advace to who ever cane help me on these question!!!!♥

1. cocklebur, cockle-bur, cockleburr, cockle-burr, weed
usage: any coarse weed of the genus Xanthium having spiny burrs
2. great burdock, greater burdock, cocklebur, Arctium lappa, burdock, clotbur
usage: burdock having heart-shaped leaves found in open woodland, hedgerows and rough grassland of Europe (except extreme N) and Asia Minor; sometimes cultivated for medicinal and culinary use.

Burdock, Arctium lappa
Biennial of Northern United States and Europe.
Medicinal uses: Aperient, cholagogue, diaphoretic, diaretic.
Decoction or infusion of root is generally used.

Native. Found mostly in sandy soil. Problems is it is hard to walk on for animals and people. Stick to animal fur and clothing.
I am not aware of any beneficial use for this plant.

Cockle burrs are native to Scotland.

It tends to be weedy.
