I'm a senior who has been 'lurking' around this group for a while. I held off for a bit as I was disappointed to see a lot of 'troll talk' and even some back 'n forth nastiness. Most of those in this group, however, seem to be very nice and here to have a bit of fun and companionship. I can go for that! I'm retired and most definitely fall into the senior catagory. My wife and I have been married for almost 41 years. Care to have someone join in?

Thanks to everyone who responded. I really appreciate it. I usually use my 'civilian' avatar outside of Police and Law Enforcement. Was on the job for 28 years. Retired now, thank heavens.

Hey Penguin Bob, I, too have been lurking around this site too so I may as well jump in too. I just retired from GM but still work part time for Dephi on call.( Use to be a Jobsetter and they call me when a machine on an assembly line won't work right or if a casting has a flaw will it still work . At the Retiree's Mtg. I'm the youngest member to show up unless a buddy of mine comes and he is a mo younger than me(we're 51) so most of my friends are older. Although I have made friends on here too(other yahoo websites mostly dealing with car questions. So I hope everyone welcomes me also as they have you. Mind if I add you as a contact? I answered a question on one of these sites about a kid in my neighborhood who is like "Dennis the Menace" He's about 9 yrs old. I also mentioned a neighbor I have who is in his early 80's and he regards me as a Dennis the Menace type too(Ha,Ha) . So maybe if the 'Gang" on here is receptive we can join in

Hi there & welcome
Not to worry about the nasty stuff that has been flying around, it is basically over at this point.
I was one of the ones who kept getting violations for no reason as were many others. We do have loads of fun on this site & sometimes bend the rules a bit but we do go all out to be helpful & caring folks.
We want you to state your mind, either pro or con, & we all try to do it in either a fun way or directly without being rude.
We also (maybe you know this already) get the younger set on here too. Most of us really enjoy ans. their questions.
A few have taken a leave of absence due to their daily lives, but will return soon. We love the stories some do tell.
So jump right in & have fun!

Yes, do join us. I'm a 'junior-senior' or a 'boomer', but I enjoy this site very much. Don't be put off by a few problem makers, there are some wonderfully kind, funny and intelligent folks here. Hope you'll enjoy your time with us. Congrats on the 41 yrs., we celebrated 23 last week.

Welcome ,my husband and I have been married 41 years also. The people that visit this site aren't all seniors but we enjoy the company of all ages if they are polite and most are(we just ignore the ones that are so bored they have nothing better to do) We like hearing the family history and anything else that you care to share. Its nice to see more men on this site too.

NO - DON'T DO IT! MOVE ON - RUN!
This is a place of great wickedness - they will steal your soul and you will become a slave to them ............
watch out for the Great Caster of Spells - she goes by the name of WIDER WOMAN - she cares not a jot that your marriage has been blessed in heaven - she will jiggle her mighty breasts at you and you will become putty in her silk gloved hands.
Follow in the footsteps of the once great and mighty and powerful McTealc - a mountain of a man whose whole purpose in life in the early days was to defend the powerless and keep order and peace - but sadly he was lured away to a secret place of heather and honey - and he was never the same again! Sort of glazed but happy look on his face .........
Beware the DRAGONS - they breathe fire and take no prisoners - ALIVE!
The FELINES AND THE BASSETTFREAKS will fool you into a false sense of security before tearing the meat from your bones!
What MOUNTAINGIRL AND BUTTONS could do to you - and how you would react - is more about your personal preferences!
But be safe in the knowledge that there are two kind and giving and compassionate souls here to take you by the hand and lead you in a guiding way - welcome - join GOLDWING and myself - you cannot go wrong with us!!!!!
The only same ones here!
You have been warned - enter at your own risk - life may never be the same again!

Welcome aboard.
I didn't know there was a Senior group on here.
Goes to show you that I don't know to much about this Answers thing, even though I have been a member for over a year.
I have also seen a lot of nonsense on here and nastiness so I don't login that often. Maybe now that will change.

Hello Penguin...I've been off for a month or so, and it looks like I may be the last one to say welcome. Like you, I hovered before I took to plunge and dropped in, but Seniors has been a great site (even with the recent problems) and I'm sure you're going to like it. Take good care and enjoy the cast of characters....they're varied and lively! Blessings...Gracie

We welcome all, even youngsters who are respectful. I notice you're a top contributor for police and law enforcement. Did you retire from that profession?
I have the highest regard for people who put their lives on the line for others.
We're neighbors (135 or so miles south of you) sort of, anyway.
I'm on my second marriage (25 years), have three middle-age offspring, six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. My husband and I worked at the same place and walked out together five years ago, taking with us a total of 68 years' experience in our field.

Welcome to the site. I am not a Senior myself yet, but I do take care of my parents. That is on my profile if you care to take a look at it.
I think that most of the folks that are here have already all gone to bed. That is where I am going very soon myself.
And as the old saying goes "More the merrier".
