Amélie just broke my heart. The film and above all the wonderful Audrey Tautou radiates so much joy, love and melancholy that you just want to shout all your happiness into the world. A masterpiece that brings us feelings of a peaceful time we all once enjoyed: our childhood. I think Amélie is going to be a new cult- classic.

So much so that not only do I own the DVD, but I bought it for my best friend as well.. I really loved the almost carefree way she goes about doing things.. It's not the only film of hers that I loved, but.. this one stands alone.. I can't think of anyone that would hate it.. (Another good one is God is Great, but I am not.. as well as The Spanish Apartment and A long term engagement.. I don't know why, but she gives these characters a feeling that you know them already..)

If you liked that you should try some others by the same director... Jean-Pierre Jeunet.

The City of Lost Children and Delicatessen are two of my favorite movies! Amelie was fantastic as well!

Yes yes yes. I loved it so much I bought the DVD. And I'm still watching it until now. The story was great, the cinematography was just so beautiful, the music was wonderful, and Audrey Tautou was just so adorable. Really luv her in that movie.

I loved it. If you like Audrey Tautou, check out "Happenstance" (le battement d'ailes du papillon), and "He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not" (A La Folie, Pas du Tout) with "Brotherhood of the Wolf" (Le Pacte des Loups)'s Samuel Le Bihan. You'll not regret it.

Own it and LOVE it!!!!!!!!
Definitely one of my all time favorites. Audrey Tautou is great and the soundtrack by Yann Tiersen is just as good.
