I married someone that was 12 years older than me. He was an old man even in his thirties. He never wanted to go out and do anything even before we had a child. His idea of a night well spent was dinner by 6, a minute and a half of sex and asleep by 7. Woo Hoo!

My ex was more interested in going to his parents house every night and every weekend, leaving me with the kids. He never went anywhere with us as a family. I went to work a year after we were married I would get home at midnight and he would start yelling from the time I took my shoes off, follow me from room to room yelling, waking the kids, until I went into our bedroom and locked him out. He did this every night for two years before I left him...and he was mystified that I left .
16 years later, I can spend 10 minutes in his presence and he starts yelling.....he still tries to treat me like his wife....for obvious reasons he hasn't remarried.

I stopped drinking. When the clouds cleared, I didn't like what I saw. or what I heard. The man is OK, but not the one for me. I was young, and naive. he was 6 years older, and a little controlling, jealous, and insecure. Also, I was bored with his lack of opinions, and lack of conversation about the world.
and he liked the TV on all day. I hate TV.

My ex husband used to beat me up. He punched out 1 of my front teeth when I was about 7 months pregnant.
He cheated on me with a lady who worked in his office at his job and I actually ended up in the hospital severely depressed and did not know where to turn. I was not suicidal, but I was not able to sleep, eat, concentrate. I went to a counselor at mental health and they hospitalized me while my sister threw all of his belongings out and told him to get out.

Verbal abuse of daughter and very very selfish person. As long as his needs were met, the world was just dandy, but stuff the wife and daughters needs as they weren't important.
