Absolutely not. The UN accomplishes a lot of good. The opposition to it comes from the extreme right--and isessentially based on the fact that the UN provides a public forum that isn't under their control--so they can't silence criticism of their war-mongering agenda.

The point to international dimplomacy - you have to talk to people you don't like.
The alternative is to go to war with the people you don't like. And all the people that don't like you, go to war with you. That was WW I.
It should also be noted that had England not been at war with just about everyone, the American Revolution might have been a failure.
