Hmmm....it's always exciting, yet a little scary, when you are considering moving to a new place.

Do your research. Find out everything you can about the place - good and bad areas to live, job prospects, rent, cost of food etc. Also look into the possibility of securing a job before you get there.

It's always good to know at least one person who lives wherever it is you're moving to - family member, a friend, friend of a friend. This will make things a little easier because you'll have someone to show you the ropes and offer help of some sort in times of confusion.

Failing that, consider looking for a group of people who like the same kinds of things you do so you won't be lonely when you arrive. For instance, if you like knitting, look for a knitting group. These people can also give you an idea of what it's like to live there. I hope this helps.

Hello, I did that. I moved to Vegas from RI. At first I loved it!! Every bit of Vegas. It was all new. I partied all the time, went bowling at 2am, and had quesadilla's at 4. As time grew on, I found a kick *** job, nice apartment, and even bought my first brand new car.

Its been 8 years and I am now starting to get home sick. I miss my family so much.

I think moving out here, you have to take the good with the bad. This city is very superficial and you may find a few friendly people. You may fall into a great job and love everything about his place. Good luck

A piece of advice; What you see on the strip, does not make up the bulk of Las Vegas. there is the Strip and there is Las Vegas...

Great jobs yes, low pay for most, yes. 5,000 people move here each month.

Come out and see the real city and see what you think. Weather is great, just no real change in seasons. I miss that part, but hated the snow more.

Then you should know, but i'll tell you anyway.
Many have went there in $40.00 cars, and returned in 80,000
dollar coaches.
And, what happens in Vegas, "stays" in Vegas. $$$$$$$$$$
