i'm currently a sophomore and my worst fear is that it may affect my school. i work for 4:15-9:15 and all my friends work up to 8:15. During my interview I was asked what is the certain time i can work, I acutally don't know so I estimated about 4-5 hours a day in a School day. so i guess i'm screwd by maybe giving the wrong information?

You've got to feel it out, but don't take too long. I think you should only work as hard as you are comfortalble with. The school work you do now will be a determinate in your future career, not a job at the local urger joint. Be careful and have a great future.

You can always tell your new boss that you have to work a shorter shift during the school week.
If you need to just say that your parents have a time limit on your working hours. After all you still are a minor and your parents do have a legal right to limit your working hours.
Good Luck

I just turned 17 and know exactly what you mean. Since you are still a full-time student your manager(s) should respect the fact that you prefer not to work so late. If you didn't give them specific times that you are able to work, just pull someone aside and ask them if you could please work no later than say, 8:30 on school nights! They should definitely be ok with this! Good luck and have fun!
