I found this at Hoopshype.com; well most likely, the richest teams gotta be teams from a big market; here's the list of team value (what you would have to pay if u want to buy that particular team)
1. Knicks $592 million
2. Lakers $568 million

I can't believe this question is turning out to be a debatable issue, when in fact, the rest of the league knows that the New York Knicks is the wealthiest franchise in the NBA.
Yes, the team sucks, but in terms of overall franchise income, the Lakers just comes second because of the city and the Arena owned by the Knicks: the Madison Square Garden. Ask any NBA players and you'll be surprised to know that almost all of them is anticipating for their next game at MSG.

The talent level is the same as ever but Miami and more specifically Lebron are at a level we have not seen since Shaq and Phil Jackson's Lakers. Plus the injurys to the Spurs, Okc and the Bulls make Miami a HUGE favorite They are a team of superstars that mesh well together also. The Lakers had a ton of superstars too but they had no chemistry.

I'm pretty sure that the Lakers are the richest, but the NBA is really a lot closer in terms of the disparity between team's salaries than the MLB.
Yeah, the Knicks too, are very rich.
