If I give you a truth in an effort to mislead you, I have lied.
Truth simply is. we report it.
Honesty is leading you to truth. All the truth that is relevant.

There is a BIG difference between truth and honesty. Most people own their truths as in aspects of their life and philosophy. People who don't own their truths are those who talk smack or lie a lot. Now for honesty.... there is good and bad honesty. Good honesty is righteousness. Bad honesty is deceit. You can be honest in what you've said that something is cold and hard and you tell someone it is cold and hard but, it is illegal.

Truth is what is, honesty is what you are or are not. You can be a liar, and that is a truth. Truth is a universal constant, honesty is an activity.

Honesty is a value of integrity. That means you always tell the truth, you incorporate that habit into your life. With truth, you can say it often , but you don't remain consistent .

The truth is what actually is, honesty is telling it.

'Truth' is a slippery term. But it generally refers to something that can be quantified and agreed upon by a large number of people.
'Honesty' simply consists of telling what you believe to be the truth.

Honesty is about saying the truth.
Otherwise, their difference is simply their spelling.

Were you on Main Street last night?
Truth: NO
Honesty: Yes (even though you were actually on the sidewalk, not the street).
