Hi Li'l M:
Intrisically the difference lies in the concept of marketing, vs the concept of administration.
The latter is pretty much an internal office related job description, pertaining to the internal running of an office, organising the workplace environment, etc. It would entail you devising, implimenting and running systems to make everyone else in the office more productive, allowing the system to operate smoothly, and to ensure greater profits for the company with less spending on personnel happiness . . . (Human Resources Management recommended as an addition to this course);
the first is an outgoing communications based job, entailing marketing the company towards outsiders: customers and potential customers, as well as a bit of Public Relations in general towards the Big Bad World out there. Your job would entail a lot of meetings with outsiders, liaising between internal staff and outsiders; probably even a good bit of traveling.
If you are intrinsically methodical and introverted, you should go for Admin one;
If you are an extrovert who loves communicating with other and can sell your ideas, go for the Marketing one.
Good luck!

Administration is a generalist field that has to do with running a business. It covers accounting, economics, finance, marketing, leadership, management, etc...

Marketing is a specialty function of business that deals with how to sell things best.

Jobs:
all of the information about this would fill more than a few books and if you visit Books a Million you will find that it has.

Administration jobs usually are something like "general manager"

Marketing jobs are something like "brand specialist" or "sales manager".

Both degrees will include a considerable overlap in courses.

A degree in Marketing means you completed a Bachelor of Science in Marketing.

If you finished a degree with concentration in Administration, it means that you completed a Bachelor of Science in Marketing major in Administration
