I have ruined the career that I was awesome in but my life can't be over. I went to rehab and changed my disrespectful ways. I am engaged, have my life in order and am even getting my daughter back. Is my professional life over?

Like others said above, be open and tell them about it right when you fill out your application, they might request a copy of the conviction. Your application will be reviewed and you will have the possibility to explain. Due to the felony your application process might be a little longer than normal and it is a case by case decsion.

I am pretty sure that you can. I had my real estate license and as was told in the course as long as you are honest and up front, generally you can get your license. The only crimes they tend to shy away from is any sexual misconduct and probably murder. Certainly, a DWI is something that are willing to look past as long as you are up front and honest.
