IMMEDIATELY after an OS installation, you should install all the necessary drivers. They are usually in a CD that comes with the motherboard or the PC. If gone, download a copy from the maker of the motherboard or of the PC.

Which video card you have problem with? It helps to give out more information. You should check the manufacturer website to download latest driver for Windows XP. XP Pro and XP, normally it uses the same driver. You can select a generic VGA driver during installation, then go to manufacturer site to download the specific driver for your video card..
Good luck!

See who is the manufacture of your vga. Download the drivers from their site. If you can't find the model of your vga simply take out your vga from your pc (if it is a card) and see the model number but if it is built in then see it in by clicking (Start->Accessories->System Tools->System Information)

Right click on the desktop select properties/display settings/advanced and check who is the manufacturer of your video card and the model number. If it's from microsoft go to windows update and get the driver ,otherwise go to the manufacturer website in the support section and get your driver.
