The Halo series is dead. What more can they do with Halo seriously. Bungie needs too make some real games other than shooters. As far as I know, the 360 is the system to buy if you like to play FPS and that's about it.
If Bungie comes out with a Halo 4 they'll only be doing it for the money and the game will be only for hype just like Halo 3 was. Bungie will probably do what they do best and make another shooter for the 360.

There will be no Halo 4. Bungie announced that way before Halo 3 was even released. There is, however, a game called "Halo Wars". I though Bungie was making it, but I read about it some more and a company named Ensemble Studios is making it. Bungie still probably has something to do with it, though. Read about it here:

THERES DEFINATELY NO WAY OF HALO 4, but they are making halo wars, but dont get to excited, its a tatical game for the PC, and possibly for the x box 360

they will scam us out of more money and do anything good even though they made 170million in the 1st 24 hours of halo 3's release, prob just make another game with a crappy ending
