Jose Reyes cant even be mentioned in the same breath as Jeter, one of the greatest players of our time.
Reyes is immature and inconsistent, and has not won a thing to act cocky the way he does, fighting with other players. Didnt steal a single base in the last 15 games.
better than Jeter?? Dont even!

Ok first of all you need to hop off the mets nuts. Im seeing that all your questions have to deal with the mets and how bad they are and all the curses and who is better then who. Honestly be happy your Yankees are in the playoffs and are going to buy another world series ring like usual. So if your going to spend so much time talking crap about the mets then you might as well be a mets fan. And by the way Jose doesnt have as much years as Jeter does in the majors. But at thier end of careers Reyes is going to have more stolen bases, better average, more hits and more runs. So give it a little time and Jeter will be just a name.

both are good players but i think Reyes is the future premiere shortstop in NY but at this point Jeter is the guy any team would want because of his leadership (something that Reyes lacks), professionalism(another thing he lacks), clubhouse presence, and postseason numbers. reyes will be up there some day but how he carrys himself will determine what a quality of a player he is

I believe you mean Derek Cheater.
How a Yankees fan misspells the name of his team's own shortstop is beyond me.
As for why Reyes is in fact better right now and in the future, get ready.
1. Reyes is younger and has more of a future.
2. Reyes played better than Cheater individually in 2007.
3. If the Mets continue to underachieve, Reyes will be smart and leave for a contender when he becomes a free agent. He could even replace Cheater if Reyes' walk year is Cheater's retirement year, although I would much rather see Reyes in either a Cardinals or Red Sox uniform.
4. This is a footnote of 1, but Reyes is still improving his game. Cheater, meanwhile, is seeing his "skills" diminish. Slowly but surely, they are diminishing.
I'd keep going, but I don't feel like typing the correct name of the Yankees' shortstop anymore.

What's great is seeing Mets reject, Kaz Matsui, playing for a chance to move on with Colorado, lol.

Reyes is more exciting to watch, but not a better leader. He's still young and has plenty of years ahead of him though.
