Sims 2 is one of the most up to date games for Mac. You just need to download it specifically for Mac, or buy it from the Apple store. Or you could install Boot Camp and buy Windows and run it through there like on a PC. The MacBook Pro is an awesome laptop for gaming (If you have Windows installed as well, you have yourself a very nice gaming machine, just don't let it get too hot). Normally, PCs are better for gaming, but the new iMac and MacBook Pro have the best gaming parts available right now, and if you have the cash for a MacBook Pro (Don't try to play games on the regular MacBook) or an iMac, I recommend getting them for games. Usually desktop computers are better than laptops for gaming, because they disperse heat better, and so they can run at faster processor and graphics card clock speeds.
