knowledge is you learn from people, books, etc. wisdom is what you learn from your self and what you learn from experience

Knowledge is a measure of the volume of facts a person has while wisdom is the applied application of knowledge to successfully select the right course of action. Part of knowledge is remembering the outcome of previous choices which is major factor contributing to wisdom. Another major factor contributing to wisdom is intelligence meaning the ability to logically anticipate the likely outcome of choices without actually having to make the choice and see what happens.

Knowledge consists of facts, experiences, lessons, and information. Knowledge is demonstrated by test scores.
Wisdom is demonstrated by applying collected knowledge in a way to accomplish goals efficiently and effectively solve problems.

knowledge is gaining information. wisdom is knowing how to use it.
we gain knowledge of many things every day. it's not until we remember that knowledge and make use of it... until we can use that knowledge to better our life or to better somebody else's life that it becomes wisdom.
with wisdom comes the ability to pass on knowledge. once you have had experience with your knowledge and made use of it, you have the wisdom to share it with other people.
for example, i heard you can use a dvd burner and an average lazer pointer to make a lazer that can burn a match or light a cigarette - that is knowledge. if i tried it out and put it together, it would be wisdom. i would then be able to use that wisdom to explain to somebody else that it is real and how to make it work, but without the experience of doing it, it is only knowledge that i acquired from my boyfriend.
