i talked to my bf friday before i went out with my best friend for drinks...he made the comment that i didn't have plans earlier when i talked to him and now i did? i said she had just called and asked to go get a drink. he had to go to bed early for work so it wasn't like we were going to hang out. then i had class 8-5 saturday and sunday and didn't hear from him (which wasn't unusual) so his weekend is mon. tues. wed. i text him this morning and said i was taking tomorrow off so i was his tonight and tomorrow..."what r u going to do with me?" his response-"sadly i have to help a friend mow for the next 2 days" i responded "no time for me? :( " and haven't heard from him all day after that. am i being brushed off? i would hope at age 35 he doesn't need to play these games but i'm really irritated and my desire to make any more effort in the relationship is just about done...thoughts?

I think you should let him make the next move.

You're right at 35 he should be mature enough to say if he's upset about you being unavailable.

Playing games is for Middle School.

He is just mad that you wanted to go out drinking without him.He feels you shouldn't want to go out without him so he is letting you know that. Don't text anymore let him get over his Little anger thing. He will be calling you,if you do give in he will do this every time you want to go out with a friend so hang tuff.

Sounds like to me he is trying to give you the guilt trip.
Let him mow for 2 days.

You have made him feel second. He is letting you know how it feels. No matter what the age we all can feel put off by people. Sounds like he may need reasurance.

kick him to the curb, if he is playing games at 35 my advice is go find you a real man, hes mad that you did what YOU wanted to do and not what HE wanted you to do, stand on your own feet and don't let child like him knock you down.
