Imagine it geometrically--think of the vectors as a bunch of arrows that you can move around.

If their vector sum is zero, that means you can connect 'em all together, head to tail, in such a way that the head of the last one reaches exactly back to the tail of the first one.

Can you do that with just two vectors (if they have different lengths)?

Can you do it with three? four?
