10 - 6*5^2 =
10 - 6*25 =
10 - 150 =
-140

what you did was do the subtraction (10-6) before you multiplied the 6 by (9-4)^2. You need to do multiplication first.

You aren't following the rules.
Your second line should be 10-6*5^2, which would then become 10-6*25, etc, which is much different from 100.

10 minus 6 times 5 to the second power.
first simplify: (9-4) to second power=25
now: 10 minus 6 times 25

10-150=**MINUS 140** is the CORRECT ANSWER

the correct order is: raise simplified number to power, THEN multiplication and division, THEN addition or subtraction.

Well everybody has the answer right with -140 but here is a tip, just remember this:

Excuse / E / exponents
My / M / multiplication
Dear / D / division
Aunt / A / addition
Sally / S / subtraction

or just come just come up with a phrase of your own.

you need to rewrrite the equation correctly.. its not clear enough for me.. you must group terms with a parenthesis
