If Bush hadn't cut taxes the government would actually have less money. When people keep more of their money they SPEND it, that money is then taxed by the government. It really isn't that hard to understand. Taxes were intended to keep the country going, not to hand out entitlements to lazy, uneducated, unmotivated people. If you earn the money you should be able to KEEP it!

I 2nd AmericanPatriot.

JFK did it, revenues went up.

Reagan did it, revenues went up.

GW Bush did it and revenues went up. Unemployment is below 5%. 5% is considered "full employment".

Tax increases: The ones I remember

Bush 41, revenue down and lost 92 election.

Clinton, I am not sure what effect this had on revenue as spending was kept down by congress. They did get on the spending game when GW got elected though.

Taxation is a very complicated economic factor. When up it tends to create inflation, in turn reducing jobs, raises interest rates, in turn slowing corporate growth, reducing payroll tax, increasing goverment borrowing. Bond sales go up, Wall St goes down, less homes are built, less is spent on clothing, new cars, consumer electronics.

You need to watch CNBC and read some Jim Cramer and his buddy Kudlow. Watch Neil Cavuto on FOX. Watch Bulls and Bears on Sat. mornings on FOX. By doing that I increased my speculative stock acct. by 42% in 2 years, recouped my loss's in my IRA and have that up 15% not counting contrbutiions.

Capitoism Rocks!!!!! You do not need a fortune to make one over the long run.

Anyone that uses the phrase "the rich" in any context is a freaking loser that cannot keep a single penny they earn.

When I was 21 I had $1000.00 dollars. At 52 I am not even worried about old age without ever having made more than $65000 in any year.
