You can wrap it, Take tylenol or Ibuprofein for swelling/pain/and inflammation. If it is throbbing put the body part above your heart-prop ankle or knee up on pillows lift your arm ,elbow above your head and rest it on a pillow. Also you can rest the body part-Just don't use it-give it a little time to heal. If all else fails-see an Orthopedic doctor.

Dependent upon what it is, maybe aspirin or ibuprofen and massage or gentle exercising of the area or an ace bandage for support. Without more info, we can't really help you.
