What was the anthem sang on flag raising ceremonies before the Star Spangled Banner was adopted?

there was none.. the war of 1812..was nearly lost..at that time the united states were not all that united.. and if it had not been for the American victory at ft McHenry you would probably be rolling your RRRS.. when the war was over.. the country became more united and at some point the poem by francis scott Key was put to music.. by the way there are two more stanzas.. they are quite interesting.. before the national anthem was created.. there was no official song at the flag raisings..

The current National Anthem became the most used song during flag raisings and it was finally adopted in the 1930s as the National Anthem by law.

At the flag-raising ceremony in the 1960 film "Pollyanna", which I think is set around 1900-1910, they sing the hymn by Katherine Lee Bates :-

O, beautiful for spacious skies,
For amber waves of grain,
For purple mountain majesties
