I would have to answer no!
Being vindictive is both passive-aggressive and cowardly.
Such as placing a time bomb under someone's car to explode unexpectedly as a cruel surprise.
I'd rather confront straightforwardly the situation, no matter how uncomfortably, in order to give it resolution which would be fair to both people or all people involved.
