The process of creation always proceeds in triumvirate. Body-mind-soul; conscious-subconscious-superconscious; thought-word-action; Father-Son-HolySpirit; etc. The cycle is impaired without one aspect. Not one of the three is the most important; neither one is least important - such that in functioning cooperatively, they work as one. Thoughts and words for the accomplishment of anything is still nothing without action. Father, the creator, is made flesh by the Son through the spoken word, which is the Spirit.
But if you will will to have a life of purpose and happiness, only the Soul knows how and why. So it is much wiser to always seek your soul's counsel.

Probably the soul, to temper the pure rationality of the mind. But, either without the other leaves a person wanting.

Your mind I believe is the link to the soul. I think a clean mind leads to a clean soul, and allows you to draw wisdom from god. So mind.

All souls belong to God.
Your soul is like a container that holds both your physical and spiritual bodies.
Your soul returns back to God as soon as you die.

That depends on your definition of soul and mind. I've always believed them to be almost synonymous - my soul is my essence, which encompasses my mind. With my definition, your question is akin to, "Which is more important - your arm or your hand?"

I need my mind while I'm living, to function. My soul is eternal and as I'm a believer in Jesus Christ, my soul will be with Him for eternity.
