I'd go back to when I was twelve,
I was happy then,
life just got so darn complicated after that,
and everyday its getting harder.

This is a very good question and I was about to relate to a happy time in my childhood when I was reading the daily paper and came across an article that appalled me and makes me wonder what has happened to the world. A soldier who has spent a tour in Afghanistan and Iraq and survived over 140 mortar attacks comes home and while walking home after a night out got attacked by a gang of thugs and they stole his mobile, wallet and medals and left him beaten up. That sums up for me your question lets go back to when people had respect for each other and never thought they were above the law.

A family Xmas when I was about 14, it was the last time all my family were together, and the last time I remember having a "normal family" Within 18 months my parents had split up, my Mum died followed closely by her parents and life was never the same again!
I have the last Xmas together on video, it's very hard to watch as none of us knew what was in store for us, we were oblivious to th heartbreak that would follow. It's amazing what you take for granted.

back to my high school years with the benefit of hindsight. I messed up my grades cos i was too busy drooling over a girl and its had a knock on effect since then.
not been able to get a decent job or anything now i've been kicked out of house and home living 300 miles away from my family stuck with a headcase of a woman who thinks i'm a dam spy out to get her and accuses me of screwing anything in a skirt so if i knew i'd put up with this (bleep) when i was older i'd have taken high school more seriously and built a better life for myself

Even though this is the best my life has ever been, I'd return to the day my grandmother died. I would not have gone to work and would have been there with her when she passed.

I don't think I'd actually want to turn back the clock, but I would LOVE to return to my old stomping grounds & share it with my children. Problem is the price of plane tickets. LOL

nonetheless i understand that I actual have made blunders interior the previous, I beleive that each conflict I actual have made it via has made me advance superior and get me to the position i'm at present. for this reason i does no longer favor to pass decrease back in time, yet only seem on the previous as a construction block and a gaining expertise of experiance.

I would never go back. Even though it would be tempting to go back to a happier time, I think that memories can be tainted by time. Only look forward to the wonderful ones you have still to recreate, not back on the distorted ones made ideal by nostalgia!
