I pulled codes on it from the ignition switch and got a code P0700 (the same thing Auto Zone told me the other night). What does this mean and how to fix? By the way - the is the same van that had the speedometer dial stuck backwards a few weeks ago - it did it again a couple of days before the light went on. I also noticed that when I push on the brake pedal I hear noise from the pedal itself.

p0700 is the generic code that sets in the engine controller to turn the engine light on and tell you the check for transmission codes. you need to find someone with a scanner that will read transmission dtcs and go from there.

The guys have answered you're questions correctly. And if the noise coming from the brake peddle is a hissing or squishing noise, it's probably air entering the back of the brake booster. In most cases it's normal. However if it get worse or the peddle feels harder to push than usual, you need a new booster.

All cars have different service schedules. At 75K you usually do a full inspection to look for any problems, oil and transmission service, air, fuel and cabin filters. Tire rotation and brake inspection. belts if needed. If the light is just on and not flashing, it is strictly a service reminder. Flashing means there is a system failure that needs to be addressed ASAP

Before you go pay a heavy amount of money to a dealership to do anything or even a parts store please try pulling the negative battery cable and leaving it off for about twenty seconds and then replacing it back .This clears the computer and could save you hundreds in expense and possibly even thousands .

that code is a communication code. one of your controllers is acting up. the speedometer flipping around can be fixed by reseting cluster. (dash). if keeps doing its because of communication concerns. you need to take to a chrysler/dodge dealer and have a certified tech work on. that is your best bet. some backyard technicians might not have correct scan equipment and tools and or knowledge. a certified chrysler tech has been to school on your vehicle and knows where to look. hope i helped.

sounds like a transmission code to me, better have it looked at. they have input and output speed sensors, that may be the cause or possibly a valve body repair
