i cant fricken turn on the computer the stupid green light wont shut off.

Push your main button and hold. the green light should go off if you shut down instead of doing a restart. if that doesn't work you can unplug your main power supply from the back, this is not recommended unless you have already shut it down. good luck

If the green light's on I'd think the computer is already on. Maybe you need to hold the button in a few seconds until the computer turns off and then reboot.
Or, you might turn it "on" by giving it a little more ram.

If you want to turn it off just select your start menu and the shut down icon. If that does not work then just puch on the power button untill it shuts down. Just remember to have your computer check your hard drive for errors the next time you turn it on.

Have you held in the power on button til the light went out? The hit the button again and its on.
As for the rest of you answerers...read his question thoroughly! He says the green light will NOT go out! Which means its plugged in. Hes in standby mode. You people are the ones with no wits! Not him!

If green light is ON on your CPU then check your monitor.

How old is ur computer? It might need repairs. Get some guy to check it out.
