I was bullied, and it was just the last straw. I fought a girl with my arms going like a windmill. Not proud of it.

It did work. No one bothered me after that. Guess they thought I was a pushover because I took it so long.

Sure, it happens...

Sometimes you gotta get respect. I remember knocking a bully down, and he started crying because his glasses broke. I think he was afraid of getting in trouble when he got home.

He never picked on me again.

peace

Sure did, I was in the first grade and he was in the fourth and was bulling me. We got into it and rolled of the porch of the school and into a row of shrubs that were planted next to the building. We were both sent to the principals office and our parents were called. Dad didn't spank me but did tell me I better not get into any more fights and I don't remember getting into any more. By the way this happened 59 years ago.
Just because you got into one fight doesn't mean you are a trouble maker or bad person. Sometimes it takes standing up to a bully to get them to leave you alone. If this person continues to bully you, you need to let someone in authority at your school that it is continuing and that they need to take som action to see that it is stopped.

I was always a shrimp and boys picked on me--in the 4th grade a big kid socked me in the jaw in the lunch line and I thought he broke my jaw--in the 6th grade a boy in combat boots kicked my shins to shreds--a Soph in high school and friend went to sock me in the shoulder when I was putting my books away and got me in the jaw, bam to the floor, about that time the coach came around the corner and told me if he caught me fighting in the halls again he would throw me out of school. I didn't instigate, just took the brunt of it all. My uncle in Va where I lived with I was 9 says I was such a cute little thing and he remembers me defending myself the most by chucking rocks at he and my other unk and my bro. He left out that they would get off the bus and run ahead of me and jump out of the woods to scare me. Well, ya gotta stand your ground when ya weigh 52 lbs. by the way I also still have a scar on my shin from the older unk when he kicked me when we were stacking kindling.
Overview--guys don't like me!! ;0)

hell yes..full blown knockdown drag outs on a couple of occasions. Bullies from the class in front of me picked on the wrong customer...at that time, I had the mistaken idea that I was invincable. I wasn't , but I got my share of licks in..enough so that I was left alone after that. It isn't good to be a target of bullies, and often, the only game in town they understand are on their terms...so that is what they got. I beat the crap out of one, the other little altercation was his older brother a few weeks later, coming to even the score...it didn't get evened, I didn't beat him but he didn't win either..in fact, word was out and their bully careers ended. The younger tried it one more time with another classmate of mine, but again, he was beaten to the ground in front of the entire school! By the time the teachers got there, it was over, the bully had a broken nose with blood gushing everywhere. No one saw what happened! NO ONE! We didn't hear from that jerk again. He quit school. The last I heard of him, he was a stock clerk in a grocery store. Pity.

No, I never got into a fight at school. When I was in the 9th grade, a girl wanted to beat me up because I went to a school dance two days earlier & danced the slow dances with her boyfriend. (her spies were there watching in her absence) I honestly didn't know he was her boyfriend & I told her so. She didn't believe me of course & she told me to meet her off school property after school that day. I told her I wasn't going to fight her & that was that & I didn't. I got on the bus & went home.

Gee, Virgina, you look exactly like someone who used to come here. ~lol~

On the first day of school! My family was new to the neighbourhood, so I didn't know any of the kids. And when I went into the classroom, there was this tubby blonde chick who was trying to boss me around. I punched her in the nose! Made it bleed all over her starched white dress. Boy was I sorry (not)!

No, I was too afraid of being punished at school then punished again when I got home.

But sometimes I wish I could go back and punch some people who were mean to me.

I think most of us have had to deal with a bully on occasion. Sometimes you have to do it in the only way they understand. As a dedicated champion for the underdog I’ve had my share. My younger sister would send them to me.
