I think that the smoking laws have gone to far taking away people's rights....I don't smoke...but I own a bar/restaurant in Pa and it is... MY... choice to allow smoking in my establishment....If you don't like it...do not patronize my place....I get more from the smokers anyway.....if I saw that it was hurting my bottom line to allow it...then I would change...but at this point it would cut my profits to ban it...so MY choice is to allow it

with out someone smoking while I am enjoying my meal !!!
i do however like to have a smoke after my meal .
Here is the real Question . Why does the government allow us to continue to harm ourselves in the following manner ,
1) Smoking 2) Drinking 3) Overeating 4) Driving
5) working too much 6) Having to many children 7) abortion
Why don`t we all just let the Government tell us all HOW TO LIVE OUR LIVES and get it over with ???

1. Not all non-smokers are FOR no smoking in any public place. I am a non-smoker, and I suffer from asthma, and I don't think it is my right to tell a smoker where they can and can't smoke. If I don't want to deal with cigarette smoke, then I don't go where I will have to deal with it. Pure and simple.
2. In the city I live in, smokers can't even smoke in the bars any longer. And the city where I live is a college town, so you know there is a bar or two in the downtown area. . . So I don't know if you can address all Americans with that question, either.

I don't believe they are as mad as you are that you can't smoke.
American bar owners who allow "freedom" to smoke in their bars are violating the law. It is up to law enforcement and the court system to deal with them as law breakers that they are.

They do so illegally. Smoking should not be a right, and should NOT be allowed in public places.
Just because you want to poison yourself, does not mean I need to inhale your toxic fumes, and not enjoy my evening.
As a rule smokers are selfish individuals and uncaring of other peoples comfort.
Smoke outside, there are designated smoking areas. I was never happier when they banned smoking in restaurants and bars, it meant I could actually go out and enjoy myself without gagging.

I don't care if you're allowed to smoke in there. I just won't be going in to spend my money on booze.
