If you are seeing dark blood on or in your stool, it's coming from further up in your digestive tract. Hemorrhoid bleeding is bright red blood. How do you know it was blood? Without an occult blood test done on the stool, you can't know for sure. Your doctor can give you a little packet that you can use at home and send the specimens to the lab for testing. How do you know you don't have hemorrhoids? They could be internal, only a doctor could tell you that.
If you are having trouble with constipation, you have to increase your fiber intake. Eat more fresh fruits and vegetables. If that's not possible, get psyllium husk from the grocery store (Walmart carries it), add it to juice and drink a couple of scoops a day. This will add a lot of fiber to your diet. You also have to drink more fluids, like water. Your colon removes water from your food as it goes through your GI tract. You have to replace that fluid by drinking more liquid than your body needs to aid elimination. A good rule of thumb is to drink 2-4 quarts of water daily.
Hope this helped. Good luck.

When you say there was dark blood, was the stool dark and tarry? Because that is indicative of old blood or blood from higher in the GI tract. Blood from hemorrhoids is bright red. Small tears or fissures would be fresh, bright red blood. Any time you suspect blood in the stool it should be checked out by your doctor. Better safe than sorry.

You probably have a small tear from having put push so hard to get your poop out. Try a stool soften. You can but it over the counter in the laxative section. I know a lot of people that have to use it occasionally...

You say you don't have hemmorhoids yet, but you could have them internally and not realize it. They could be the cause of your pain. Try taking some stool softeners for a few days, and drink plenty of water. You should get some relief. If the pain doesn't go away, see your doctor for an exam.

There are stool softeners available at most pharmicies. The main thing is to stay away from cheeses and quantities of dairy products. These tend to "clog" you. Fruits are a natural way to ensure "regularity". Allow the damage to repair it'self, and be sure you don't "over-wipe".

Drink more water (that's the answer to a whole heap of problems). If there are signs of it persisting try Calcium Flouride in homeopathic form - NOT sodium flouride which is a poison and is what is put in our water - to drink! It may be that you do not have haemarrhoids at all.

It sounds like a strain. Us some Nupercainal ointment on it (contains a local anesthetic and is soothing) If the blood continues, See Doc!
