Today at work, I work retail on my feet 8-9 hours a day, and noticed that I had like 4-5 of the braxton hicks within 15 minutes. Afterward I felt extremely nauseous and felt like I could have passed out. What was going on?? Is this too soon to have thesse type of contractions and that close together. Alos, I walk 30 mins a day and today while i was walking I had another 3 contractions within 5-7 minutes.

Its normal to have BHs at 28 weeks or earlier. It sounds like you are having a lot of them though. My doctor told me to call if I have 5 or more in an hour.

i had started getting braxton hicks contractions around that time too. I also work on my feet like 8-9 hours a day and i'm 38 weeks now! i keep saying next week ill be done...lol. anyway, you should be fine, your going to start getting more and more tired tho, and make sure you don't strain your body, take more breaks to sit down at work. If they don't like it, get a note from your doctor stating you need to sit at times, or you can only work 6-7 hours a day. But if your anything like me, you'll want to keep your hours...i kno im like that. I would just take it a little easier at work.

No, it is normal for 28 weeks. Keep water with you to drink, and take more breaks.

So long as you dont have more than 6 in an hour, or ones that dont stop when you stop and drink water, you're alright.

You're just going to have to slow down a little more, and take more breaks where you can get your feet up, relax and drink water.

If they get more severe you'll have to cut back on your work hours, but your doctor will help you know when or if that time arrives.

Braxton Hicks are normal that early, earlier even. But I would definately tell your OB about them, especially with the frequency. She/he may want to check to make sure you are not dilating. If your next appt is far off (more than a few days) call and ask to be seen. It's never a bad idea to be cautious. You don't want to have your baby this early.

No, you can have them that early, it's no big deal. But since you're getting further along in your pregnancy, you may want to try working only part time if you can, or at least getting a break every hour to elevate your feet for 10 minutes.
