The bigger the tank you give them the bigger the fish can get.

First off, I'm not sure if you're saying you considered flushing the fish because they're too big, but that shouldn't be done at all. Sorry if I misunderstood you or anything like that, but anyway, if you don't want the fish anymore, then I suggest that you find someone who does want them, or just keep getting them bigger tanks or, like said before, upgrade to a heated outdoor pond.
I'd like to wish you luck!

Time to think about a heated outdoor pond, I guess. No, I don't think they are being overfed. Fish usually only grow to their environmental strictures. Putting them in a 10 gallon tank is what spurred the growth.

Find out more about the fish,as to what kind is it, how big they can get and their behavior. Basically, you need to know what they require, as you need to replace your tank real soon, if you know how big they will eventually get then you can decide better on the size of the tank you need together with its accessories.

Update your question and let us know what kind of fish they are.
Update: Keep them and see how big they can get, maybe you can break a record. We still need to know which kind they are.

i suppose you could always sell them to a fish store if they will take them. either that or you could just buy another tank

the only reason they are getting so big is because you put them in a bigger tank

WHen you feel they are to big for you, you can take them to a lake or pond nearby and let them continue their journey from there.
