"Diatez" is literally translated as "diathesis" (which is not very descriptive), but in Russia, the word is often used in a specific context of allergic diathesis in children...

I have a Russian mother too, and she likes to make up diseases that have no English translations...

Try this site, it really quite good for help in narrowing down what a rash is:

Eczema patients can avoid scratchy fibers for softer ones like bamboo, cotton, or silk, which are gentler on the skin. Opting to buy organic fibers can also be a wise, healthy, and eco-friendly alternative. Learn here https://tr.im/AxWrX

Diatez (диатез) means 'a rush on babies face' :) Not very informative, eh...

Maybe, the word has some special meaning in medicine, but afaik it is often used to describe any kind of child skin disease.

Firstly, she isn't making up this translation.
Secondly, it means food allergy, that's all. Just watch what the kid eats. Is he eating too much sweet stuff? That's what I used to get it from, and now so does my son...:S

Diathesis is a kind of allergy. Be aware on what food do you eat.

I'm not a 100% sure on this, but I think it's called atopic dermatitis.
