I remember the "Dirty Bop" but not 'boogie'. Maybe you re-
member the 'Bop' dance step in the late 50s? Now here's
one for you. Do you remember the boogie woogie beat from
the Chatenooga Shoeshine Boy? I have remembered that
tune since hearing it repeat often on a record my dad had.
It dates back to when shoeshine stands were outside of
major dept stores in the 40's and 50's. Sometimes manned
by two people, instead of just one.
Of course, there were the Andrews Sisters with the Bugle
Boy of Company B. That came back into popularity many
years ago too. There were alot of Boogie Woogie tunes
going around when I was a little girl. And they were in many
of our old black and white movies too. I love those golden
oldies. I can't remember any other tunes right now.

My parents were part of the boogie woogie generation and I used to have such fun watching them jitterbug! One of their favorite songs was the A Train, as I remember. My mom is now 88, I am 65

Hmm? I don't remember any songs from that period (not born yet) from experiencing it, but I do remember the Andrew Sisters' Bugle Boy from Company B. Does that count?

No, but my cousin did. I was born too late for those. I liked to listen to her songs. She was 11 years my senior.
I remember the bop, and the twist.
I like the question.
