you need to take it and have the computer scanned on it this will help you with repairing it,you may just have a clogged up fuel filter or a stopped up air filter, but if you have it scanned this will tell you if it has any trouble codes on it,and this will help in repairing it also, good luck with it.

I have never seen a fuel filter in my entire automotive life, repair a car. This Jimmy requires 51psi to stay running. If you aren't afraid to get a little dirty, the fastest way to check and see if this is right direction to go in is to go through the wheel wells and pull the spark plugs out. This is the easiest access. If you notice 3 on one side are wet, but the 3 on the other side are dry, you may want to take it in for a fuel pressure test and see if the pressure is bleeding off. Sound like the spider got ya. That is a CFI under the upper intake that looks like a spider. This little guy also holds the fuel pressure regulator, but comes as an assembly. It has six plastic lines that run to poppets that inject fuel into the cylinders. If this spider (6 legs?) maybe you have an 8 cylinder Big Jimmy, if it is leaking, it will dump fuel into the combustion chamber that is unmetered. This means the air fuel mixture is based on the air coming through the air intake, and the ECM matches that with the proper amount of fuel. If you have more gas in there, than the ECM pulled in, then it creates a concern almost like a vacuum leak, that causes you to stall when coming to a stop, and also making it hard to restart. If the plugs are ok, then you really should get it diagnosed by a professional. It is also quite possible, that the torque converter clutch solenoid is failing. This will also cause a stalling issue when coming to a stop. the possibilities are endless, so get it checked by a professional.

Sounds like the fuel filter, Check the filter at the carb/throttle body and the filter under the truck in the frame.
