Sell the damn things. Eat them, they're healthy. Give them to the Food Pantry in your local area. Invite the neighbors to pick them for a donation of canned food for the local homeless shelter. Have a watermelon tossing contest. Charge $1.00 per person and donate it to a local charity. Pile them up at the roadside and put out a sign: Free Watermelons, Please Help Yourself. Write a science fiction story about the Watermelon People taking over the Earth! Stop w/the watermelons, already!

If I had them in my yard, I'd let them grow wild. I'd eat as many as I could and give the rest to friends and charity. I love watermelon. But as someone said, you can trim the blossoms and vines earlier in the season.

Don't they grow in a garden? How would they take over your yard and besides I see easy money there!
Why don't you sell them?
